Planning YouTube content

,

The best way to start to get something done is to just, well, do it. It helps to write things you want to accomplish down. Take it one step further, and you share what you’ve written down with someone to add accountability.

I started a while back generating a list of ideas. This approach was validated by WordPress Pro YouTuber, Jamie Marsland, as one of the key ingredients to starting and growing a successful YouTube channel.

YouTube Content Ideas

This is not an exhaustive list, and it certainly is not fully fleshed out.

Woo checkoutsCreate the Shopify checkout page in Woo blocks
Designer vs. Dev build offGive a project brief and have a designer and dev build the site (see Jamie’s daughters build series for inspiration)
In search of the best blockVideo series featuring custom Gutenberg blocks that are single use only. Final video could be a best of blocks versus bracket challenge (blocks like Rich Tabors Cards block).

A new take on Jamie’s block of the week—I miss that series.

I’m not sure how many of these ideas I’ll actually work on. I do know that by putting them out there, I’m forcing my own hand to get started and just hit record!

What do you think? Which video(s) would you like to see first?

Building stuff with AI is going to join this list. I think creating custom blocks or block themes using Cursor AI will make the most sense.
